"Welcome to our school website.  The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils."

Well now it's official - we are a "GOOD" school - again!
We have been inspectd by OFSTED and they have concluded that we are a "Good" school with "Outstanding Elements" and a "good capacity for further improvement".
We have also been inspected by the Church of England and they too have concluded we are "Good" with "Outstanding Elements"

This is a tremendous tribute to our pupils, our teaching and other staff, our parents, the Friends and the Governors - thank you to everyone who has put so much effort into this.  We know Yaxham is a good school - but you never know what Ofsted will say.  Well, yet again, they agree with us.  Thank you to all the parents and staff for completing and returning all the Ofsted questionnaires and giving such a positive response - the inspector said he does not remember recieving such a response before!

George Freeman, MP said “many congratulations to all the team at Yaxham Primary School on the really excellent results of your recent Ofsted, which is a great credit to all the hard work of the Head, teachers, pupils and parents. This is a great result for the village, school and parish.”

County Cllr Cliff Jordan said “I was very pleased to get the report give my warmest congratulations to the staff and Governors."

You can see the latest Ofsted and Church inspection reports at the foot of this page - don't take our word for it, read it for yourself.

In the last year we have had the best SATs results for a number of years, we have achieved the log-cabin "ELF" (External Learning Facility),  officially opened on the 29th September by Bishop Graham James.  The new field which we bought last year is now in use which also gives us extra space for the children during playtimes and for outside activities. We had the School Autumn Fair on Saturday 24th September, organised by the Friends of Yaxham Primary School, and this year we raised £1,600 - thank you and well done to everyone.  Our Christmas productions in December were a great success.  Our ukulele playing class 3 did well again and we have planted our Jubilee Oak saplings - one from the Royal Estate at Sandringham, and two our pupils grew themselves.  Well done to everyone.

My thanks again to everyone who help to make this school so "Good" - a village school we can all be proud of.

With all best wishes

Sandra Nightingale,
Headteacher.
